**i know this post has been wonky with some people seeing it and some not - so am gonna repost and go from there....happy tuesday!
my parents hosted a lovely trip to santa fe, new mexico for the welshes this thanksgiving. we rented a couple of extra houses to accommodate the big group and each took turns making dinners and breakfasts. it was SUCH A WONDERFUL trip. being able to be with family in such a magical setting created an amazing trip. here are some photos of us on turkey day.

DIY: runner
as i started brainstorming ideas for the decor for logan's first birthday, an idea for a runner popped into my head. i carried it out by heading to texas art supply and grabbing some canvas and printmaking paint. i simply made a stencil with cardboard and got to work. i picked a neutral color in order to {hopefully} use this runner for many more celebrations.
hope everyone has a lovely thanksgiving tomorrow
celebrating with loved ones!

logan's FIRST birthday party.
with lots of family in town for tgiving, we decided to have logan's first birthday celebration a tad early in order to include more family members. we kept the guest list very small and just invited family. i went with a pink and yellow theme. actually, a mustard yellow and a dusty rose. dusty rose proved to be very hard to find in party supplies, so it ended up being a bit more pink than i originally attended...but still turned out well.
i can't really put into words what it means to have an almost one year old or i will soak up the keyboard with big ole tears. so i will let the pictures do the talking. it was a wonderful celebration of our beloved nugget and are so thankful for all the family that came to support her {and us}. as well as our loved ones in dc that were celebrating from afar.
