life lately.

rubber chicken.

logan has this rubber chicken.  when asked about his/her name she says "just chicken."  and over the past few months it has to be by her side her at all times.  at night, at school, to the park, eating, bath time - ALL the TIME.  the first rubber chicken got flushed down the toilet (and amazingly did not clog our toilet).  logan became unglued that she would never see chicken again, so we went to the store the next day to get another one.  (luckily they are $3 at a local toy store)  now this chicken is GROSS.  it is rubbery and nasty and so very dirty (even though it gets a bath every night).  to see rubber chicken in all his/her glory - here are some pictures.

and since these pictures, chicken got deflated and now doesn't have whatever disgusting liquid was filled in the egg in the first place.  making it even more NASTY!

the adventures of logan and nora.

fredrickburg.

jeff and i ventured over to fredricksburg, texas to celebrate SEVEN years of marriage last weekend!  this charming texas town has an adorable main street with some really unique and funky shops (which by the way you can walk around and shop while sipping on beer or wine - so jeff was one happy camper while i shopped).  fredricksburg is also where some little texas wineries have popped up over the last few years.  we hit up some small ones and loved every minute of it!   it was the first time we got away from both girlies and we of course loved all the little things that went along with that...sleeping in, multiple dates nights, leaving the house without having to pack up all the essentials - AMAZING i tell you.  just amazing!

three months {nora james}.

dear nora bear,

what a fun stage you are in right now!  smiling and cooing NON-STOP for us.  we cannot get enough.  and two teeny tiny dimples are showing up on your cheeks when you give us that big ole gummy grin :)  we just love those dimples!

you transitioned wonderfully well from your bassinet in our room into your nursery this month.  you also started to sleep through the night!!  alleluia!  we are beyond grateful for this milestone.  keep up the GREAT work my sweet girl.

you got to meet and spend time with lots of family and close friends this past month that live far away.  to which we are so thankful for them taking the time to meet you. 

sadly, you also got your first ear infection.  so hopefully this does not mean you have your sister's ears and ear tubes are not in your future.  fingers crossed!

easter celebrations!

hope everyone had a lovely easter sunday!  we kept busy with church, multiple egg hunts, brunch with jeff's siblings, and a big ole welsh gathering in the evening.  here are a few pics....
