we were playing around with the camera this weekend and snapped these "mother and daughter" pictures.  i still can't believe i'm a MOM.  the name comes with such responsibly and honor.  at times,  i have to pinch myself because i can't believe logan is finally here and we are taking care of her. constantly loving on her.  and while i feel like we are in a nice little routine right now, i know there is still so much to learn as we go forward.  but, for now i'm loving every minute of this thing called motherhood.

superbowl food.

we were kinda all about the food this year for the superbowl.  chef jeff made some delicious bbq ribs that put sweet smells in our place all sunday long.  we also had the staples of snack food: queso and guacamole dip.  our bellies were very happy.

car show fun.

jeff's parents {otherwise known as omi and grandpa a} came to visit us this weekend - well i'm pretty sure they just wanted to come see the baby :)  with the weather being nasty and cold on saturday, we were looking for an inside activity and decided to venture on over to check out the car show.  it was a great way to stay warm and cozy as well as get some ideas on our next car purchase, whenever that may be.

logan.

as many of you already know, logan was named after my dad - gary logan swanson. i've been wanting to name my child logan for some time now (honoring my dad) and luckily jeffrey was in agreement. funny enough, we live in an area of dc called logan circle. as a result, we see the name logan everywhere. including our my very favorite restaurant, logan's tavern, which we dined at the night before our logan was born.
