a welsh gathering.

the welsh's (my mom's side of the family) gathers once a month on sundays for dinner/brunch to catch up and spend time together.  we were able to join in on the fun last sunday when my parents hosted a welsh brunch.  it was so wonderful to see all the cousins and meet the adorable miss casey ruth!  she is sooo sweet and has a ton of beautiful hair.  we look forward to many more good times!

kat in concert!

my very dear friend, kat edmonson,

is a singer and song writer.

and we got the pleasure of seeing her in concert last night

here in houston.

{for a little date night!}

and let me just tell you she is 

AMAZING.

seriously, the way she preforms in front of a crowd,

writes her own witty and heart felt lyrics,

and tells little stories between her songs - 

it was noting short of fabulous.

and jeff and i were sooo happy to get the chance to see her in concert.  

i was very impressed

and oh so proud!

listening to children's music 

and doing diaper changes out of our car,

but we made it in one piece {thankfully!}

and got to visit with many loved ones along the way!

 one month.

dear nug,

amazing.  nine months in my belly and nine months outside my belly.  it has been nothing short of incredible to watch you grow and develop your personality.  you continue to smile and giggle constantly and your new favorite thing is to laugh at your own reflection in a mirror or even our iphone pictures of you.  

you are exploring lots of new foods and flavors these days.  some of your favorites include: mac & cheese, fresh fruit, spaghetti, and your new sippy cup.   

you are officially on the move.  crawling all over our apartment, pulling up on everything, and wanting to explore anything you can get your hands on.  this new development has been really interesting as we are in the process of moving.  so your dad and i are juggling watching you and packing box after box.  

we have been taking you all over dc to the places we love before we head out.  we realize that you won't remember these special places and special people in our lives, but we are snapping lots photos and hope to tell you about them some day soon.

we love you so very much little lady and look forward to this amazing adventure we are embarking on as a family as three.

e's first bday.

the lovely miss evelyn turned one year last week and the cheeks had a little bday gathering with a vintage cowgirl theme {so cute!}  there was lots of good food, lots of good fun and lots of photos with little tots!  we had a ball celebrating miss e!

bon voyage shindig.

on saturday evening, we had our loved ones over for a little bon voyage shindig {and missed the ones that couldn't make it!}  i can't really put into words how much i'm going to miss our friends here in dc or i will become a crying mess on my keyboard.  but we LOVE LOVE LOVE them and will miss them more than we can express.
