logan and luca.

these two.  such best buds.  and constantly asking for each other throughout the day.  luca has become "my luca" at our house to which logs always says "i love my luca,  ice cream with luca?  where is my luca? go to luca's house?"  it is really amazing to see how these little friendships blossom and grow and become so very strong.  i love it.

our fourth of july!

we traveled to aspen, colorado to celebrate the fourth of july as well as my dad's bday. {he is a fourth of july baby}  my parents rented a place for a couple of weeks and invited us and my brother + girlfriend {lauren} for the long weekend.  it has been a while since we have visited aspen - i still cannot get over the amazing views and AMAZING temperatures {we wore sweaters in the morning and evenings}.  it was wonderfully refreshing and wonderfully relaxing - thanks for hosting mom and dad!

good ole baseball.

this weekend, we hit up a good ole baseball game {a belated father's day gift to jeffrey after we had to reschedule due to the sickness that invaded our home a few weekends ago.}  and logan did surprising well.  the trick we learned was to keep feeding her.  so as long as she had her ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn, pizza, etc. - she was happy as a clam.  and really who wouldn't be with that food?  she lasted until the 7th inning before she started tanking.  but, all in all a GREAT first baseball game in htown.

watermelon and avocado.

such delicious foods - right!?  well, sadly - miss logan will not be enjoying them anytime soon as she just tested positive for being allergic to them.  i mean what does watermelon even have in it other than water?  and avocado was one of the only green things she is/was eating these days.  sigh.  her reactions were not severe - so that is wonderful news.  i had noticed her reacting to them in the last few months so her allergist wanted us to do another lovely prick test to confirm them since they are such odd foods to be allergic to.  logs was a rock star doing the prick test and i'm sure the elmo episodes helped.  so as for now - we are laying off delicious watermelon and avocado until further notice.  such a bummer - but luckily this gal isn't allergic to strawberries.  she is eating strawberries out the wazooo!

dance party.

jeffrey and logan love to have dance parties together.  it is pretty much the cutest thing ever.  here are her latest moves.  next time i'll have to capture them together on tape.

bday love.

over the weekend, i turned another year older.  we had lovely celebrations which included: family time at the fine arts museum, drinks with my parents, date night to sparrow, and cake with friends.  thanks for all the love friends and family!

homemade invites are my fave.

whipped up these little invitations for a friend's baby sprinkle this weekend.  they were so easy and i just used materials i had on hand - watercolor paints, watercolor paper and stamps.  some turned out better than others - but that was part of the fun!

sick sick sick.

who gets sick in the summer - well apparently the peeps that live at the ainsworth household.  poor logs has been rocking the most horrible stomach bug ever.  one of the perks of a stomach bug is it is over within 24 hours.  but not this one - apparently our doc said he has been seeing this virus pop up, the patient seems to get better, appetite comes back and then wham the vomiting begins again.  so wash your hands my friends and i hope your summery adventures don't include any vomiting of any kind....we are still on the mend over here.

lake austin spa.

last weekend, i had a LOVELY little getaway to lake austin spa with my mom, aunt dianne and cousin kristi.  it was wonderfully relaxing as we enjoyed spa services, a lovely setting, cooking classes, delicious food and even a tarot card reading :)  when can we go back??

memorial day weekend. {a bit late!}

we traveled over to my parents lake house in mcqueeney, texas for some lake fun over memorial day weekend.  we took our buddies: anglea, nick and luca and had a blast!  there was swimming, fish catchin, sprinkler fun, lunch at the gristmill, boat cruises, smore eatin, and even some slip n slide action!  a fabulous and relaxing weekend with our friends!  all photos taken with iphones and the mamas were the photographers :)
