dc!! {round three}.

after meeting miss jordan rose, we headed over to our dear friends - the cheeks - casa.  and in some ways it felt like we never left.  our girlies were thrilled to play together and we were of course thrilled to play with our friends.  we celebrated a lovely memorial day with them - complete with a trip to the national zoo and an awesome classic cheek cook out.  we sure do heart ya sweet friends!

dc!! {part two}.

next up - we drove out to olney to meet and visit miss jordan rose fishman.  she is less than two weeks old and is such a little cutie.  it is amazing how tiny those little newborns feel {and she was over 9lbs!}  it was wonderful to see the fishmans in their new role as mama and dada!  we just loved getting to meet miss jordan!

dc!! {part one}.

we just returned from a LOVELY long weekend in dc!  we sure did have a blast and stayed busy the entire time we were there.  friends to see and old places to frequent.  we sure do love that town, and our sweet friends who live in it. 

 we kicked off the weekend with heading to the nats game with the nolands

and then wondered around eastern market the following morning.

house progress {the master}.

here are a few shots of what our master bedroom is shaping up to look like.  we decided to compromise - so jeff got his low/contemporary bed {he is in charge of tucking in those corners!} and i got a fun wallpaper.  i thought for sure jeff wouldn't go for this print - but he actually really likes it - score!  we are going for lots of creams and warm woods in the room - which i have never really decorated with - but am really enjoying.  we have a lot more work to do in this room - mainly buy more furniture and add some artwork and throw pillows.  but we are getting there!

we have two windows looking out onto the deck and two windows looking out onto our backyard.  and these curtains - yikes - i have never done curtains before and boy did it take many rounds before we were happy with these - i mean to pleat or not to pleat, how many curtain hooks/rings is standard, installing that curtain hardware - whew!  we sure did learn alot about curtains - who knew!  i sure did not.

well, i set out to take a picture of logan every hour yesterday and that did not really happen.  but, this is what i was able to capture of our little nugget....

 7:30 am - lets go mama!

 2:30 pm - off to swimming class

 4pm - after swimming class and watching the big kids play tennis

 5:30 pm - after bathtime; helping mama with laundry
