cherry blossoms: round one.

as we were driving back from the airport on monday, we were taken aback by the lovely cherry blossoms, just as we are every year.  they are in their peak bloom this week and we just had to make a quick stop.  luckily, a parking spot appeared and we made it down to the tidal basin right before sunset.  these trees are breathtaking and one of our favorite things about dc in the spring time.

    Beautiful! We saw some pictures of some friends from this same spot last weekend. Looks like we will end up in the DC area sometime down the road so we are definitely going to have to check this out.
