strawberry picking!

today, our sweet friends - anglea and luca joined us for a day of picking strawberries out at frobergs farm.  it was about 40 min. drive and the weather was perfect for being outside - absolutely loving this spring weather!  complete with TONS of strawberries and a picnic lunch made for a delightful morning with buddies.

yesterday!

we are enjoying spring break around these parts and lucky for us the weather has been fabulous.  we are spending all our time outside.  cause that summer is a coming and i'm already not looking forward to it :(  we ventured to the stick/maze/art installation yesterday in hermann park with some friends and checked it out.  it was so fun - the kids were in heaven wondering around this natural maze.  it was really pretty cool.

we had a festive celebration of st. patty's day yesterday evening with some neighbors and their tikes.  complete with green cheese {sage cheddar!}, corned beef, potatoes and guinness!  hope yall had a festive celebration as well!  even though a lot of you loved ones were covered in snow! come on spring!

chalk anyone??

logs had quite the fun a few weeks ago putting chalk all over her face.  this age (2 years and 4ish months) is the best yet!  logs is talking up a storm and constantly asking "what happened mommy?"  she is doing silly things like eating her own boogies because it gets a reaction out of us.  everything has to be done "myself" including getting dressed, getting in and out of the car, cutting up her food.  basically everything. and the other day she was talking about "car ears" to which i figured out are the side mirrors on cars.  she likes talking about those "little car ears" when we are out and about.  she is a ball full of energy, love, snuggles and strong will.  and we are so HAPPY and GRATEFUL to report that her pediatric ent is "not worried" about her lump and just wants to monitor it.  we are so very thankful for this GREAT health news!  happy tuesday everyone!

oh and ps - we were asked to be in Heights Home Tour this spring and decided to go for it!  nothing like your house being on display to help us get more things done around the house!

wedding fun.

as i mentioned before, an old buddy of ours got married last weekend in dallas.  he also happened to be my first boyfriend in highschool - although of the three weeks we dated - i was out of town for two.  so you can see we were very serious. :)  sadly, i didn't get any snapshots of the bride and groom - but just friends!  some of which we hadn't seen in a while and it was quite the reunion.  there is something just so special and loving about friends you have history with and those sentiments ring true for these dear buddies!

our weekend.

jeff and i drove up to dallas this past weekend to celebrate an old friend's wedding.  since we both weren't in the wedding - we had saturday to ourselves.  it was a glorious 75 degree day filled with lots of sunshine.  we headed over to fort worth (just about a 40 min drive from dallas) to visit the kimbell art museum.  and it was STUNNING!  the original museum was built in the 70's and a new addition was added last december.  it is such an amazing museum with these gorgeous vaulted ceilings.  it was a lovely little getaway for just the two of us.
