carol's baby shower.

megan and i threw carol and little baby shower last saturday.  megan was a rockstar with the food and carol got some adorbale goodies for baby buckley.  it was a lovely afternoon with friends and celebrating baby buckley - due on july 5th!

decorative flags.

i've seen these decorative flags popping up all over the place for the last few years and have always wanted to make some of my own.  i'm helping to host a baby shower for our dear friend, carol, this weekend and thought this would be the perfect time to try out these flags.  i grabbed materials (paper and ribbon) from paper source and got to work.  i love crafty projects.

a quick shout out to my lovely mom - who is recovering from hip replacement surgery.  she rocked the procedure yesterday and is now in recovery.  we love you mama and wish you speedy speedy recovery!

mother's day 2011.

while we were in htown - we got to celebrate mother's day with our lovely moms.  we had our moms over for breakfast - jeffrey cooked his famous breakfast tacos and i made a fruit salad.  we then gave them little adoration books from pinhole press of family pictures.  i was so happy with the way they turned out.  it was a delightful morning with our amazing moms!

fun times in htown.

we traveled down south - to htown - this weekend to continue the celebrations of mags and trav.  they had a lovely reception at the parador where we partied with old faces (those we grew up with) and some new faces (the san fran crew).  we were having such a ball - i forgot to whip out my camera and snap a few pics.  while we were in town, we did get some great family time in as well.  it was a quick trip, but it sure was sweet!

really wish we could get some good ole tex mex (i'm dreaming of a bowl of queso and an ice cold marg with salt!), but guess we will have to wait until our next trip to texas.  which is really really soon!

wallpaper love.

i'm always dreaming of my next home project.  in my opinion, tweaking or adding/subtracting things to a home is never a done deal - it is always evolving and changing.  in recent years, i've been drawn to lovely wallpapers.  it probably has something to do with my love of paper and prints.  but, since we live in a rental right now - wallpaper is not really an option.  so i will continue to dream about wallpaper for the next place we live.

it's baseball time.

baseball season has begun and jeffrey couldn't be happier.  it is kinda his thing.  he absolutely loves it.  and i love the all you can eat food and drinks through jeff's company tickets.  i also love watching baseball in jackets.  the weather was divine this weekend.

3. GORGEOUS weather on saturday, so we ventured outside.....

 

 4. when i say ventured, i mean to say we walked down to the national mall to check out the latest gauguin exhibit at the national gallery of art.

5. spent time with friends.

6. enjoyed delicious homemade B.L.T's (summer is coming!)

7. saw water for elephants - a movie i enjoyed (+ i enjoyed the book), jeff - not so much.  but he was a good sport about it. :)

it was a lovely relaxing weekend here in dc.  monday why do you always have to come way too quickly?!?
