we had a ball in the pool with these two today - mags and trav.  who just finished the most amazing journey - hiking the PCT {a trail from mexico to canada}.  check out more of their story here.  we are oh so proud of them - simply amazing.  we are also so pumped that they will be in and out of htown for the next couple of months.  so we plan on getting in LOTS of good playtime.  and i mean LOTS.

mendoza {in pictures}.

we really loved mendoza.  like alot.  it is the wine region - and we love wine so this was a no brainer.  and i even enjoyed some red wine - what!?  it was relaxing with beautiful settings and we simply could not get enough.

ba {in pictures}.

we had an amazing time in argentina.  everything went smoothly {no travel horror stories} and the nugget did wonderfully well while we are gone {getting some great quality time in with the grandparents}.  they kept our minds at ease by sending lots and lots of pictures and updates while we were gone.  we fell very easily into the way of life in argentina - sleeping late, taking a mid day nap {we are big fans of naps in our family} and eating late {and i mean late as in 10 pm dinners}.  it was lovely and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

before jeffrey starts his new job, we thought we would take full advantage and squeeze in an international trip.  we decided on argentina as we have never been to south america and have always wanted to check it out.  we went back and forth on if we were going to take logan on this trip with us and ultimately decided not to.  traveling with a wee one causes many headaches and sightseeing around nap times could be problematic, plus she is not exactly going to remember this trip.  the grandparents are enthusiastically splitting the babysitting duties, so it a win win for everyone involved.  just as long as i don't have a panic attack from being away from my baby for a whole week.  yikes - but hopefully we will have lots of pretty sites to keep my mind busy.

a welsh gathering.

the welsh's (my mom's side of the family) gathers once a month on sundays for dinner/brunch to catch up and spend time together.  we were able to join in on the fun last sunday when my parents hosted a welsh brunch.  it was so wonderful to see all the cousins and meet the adorable miss casey ruth!  she is sooo sweet and has a ton of beautiful hair.  we look forward to many more good times!

kat in concert!

my very dear friend, kat edmonson,

is a singer and song writer.

and we got the pleasure of seeing her in concert last night

here in houston.

{for a little date night!}

and let me just tell you she is 

AMAZING.

seriously, the way she preforms in front of a crowd,

writes her own witty and heart felt lyrics,

and tells little stories between her songs - 

it was noting short of fabulous.

and jeff and i were sooo happy to get the chance to see her in concert.  

i was very impressed

and oh so proud!

we made it!

although there were many hours of

and doing diaper changes out of our car,

but we made it in one piece {thankfully!}

and got to visit with many loved ones along the way!
