dinner parties with toddlers.

i remember a time, not so long ago, when friends would gather, delicious food consumed, wine enjoyed, and UNINTERRUPTED and ENDLESS conversations would endure.  these days are long gone.  while these little toddlers are the love our lives, they don't however allow for friends to have uninterrupted and endless conversations anymore.

our new sweet friends, anglea and nick, had us over last weekend for a delightful evening of homemade italian food and great company.  we surprisingly got about five minutes of UNINTERRUPTED conservation and realized some one better go check on the kiddos.  quiet is not always a good thing.  and it was not.  we came upon logan and luca having a grand ole time with a tub of vaseline.  logan managed to cover sweet luca's head in the goop - along with sheets, books and furniture.  and this stuff DOES not come out. 

in case your find yourselves in the same situation - here is what we found out..for hair: 1. baby oil 2. rinse 3. ivory soap 4. comb through 5. shampoo again.  even baking powder wigs won't work.  clothes forever stained, can be scrubbed off walls with simple green and next deglosser.  and that dawn dish detergent dosen't do a thing!
